If you are like me, you may have talked to or gone out with more than a few people only to find that you have MAJOR incompatibility.

If you don’t chat a lot before a date, you can spend a lot of time getting ready, going to a place, paying for date activities, and mid-date realize there is NO WAY this is going to work.

Let’s prevent that.

Some things you need to know about me and a few things you don’t, but I’ll tell you anyway. 🤣

Introduction

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to come here. It shows that you are very intentional, value your time (and mine) and are really on the hunt for your person. This is a good sign so far.

About me

  • I’m a woman of faith in God and Jesus Christ. My faith is central to my life and guides all that I do.
  • Though my parents have southern roots, I’m a Native Chicagoan, and it’s my favorite place in the world. I left around three years ago for personal reasons, and I look forward to moving back or at least being able to visit often.
  • I’m very passionate about family & child-rearing, and as a result, spent most of the last 20 years of my life as a stay-at-home mom homeschooling my children.
  • I have two children who are away at school.
  • I am still open to having more children (with the right person, of course).
  • I’ve been separated going on seven years, but officially divorced for over 4 years.
  • I am a freelance writer looking to reinvent myself since AI has recently affected my work. I am optimistic and exploring at the moment. So far, I’m getting interested in real estate more.
  • I’d really like to partner with someone into REI as well to catch those #powercouple vibes 😃

Who I am

  • Hobbies include travel, reading, playing music, cooking, nature walks, museums, listening to live music and observing the world around me.
  • Ideologically, I’m conservative, but don’t align myself with any single political affiliation.
  • I’ve experienced racism and sexism, but I don’t believe the effects make me disadvantaged in any way.
  • Because I’m not adversely affected by these things, I don’t believe anyone owes me anything, nor do I hate anyone, including but not limited to white people, black people, blue people, the “man,” all men, the rich, the elite, Republicans, Democrats, etc., etc. I don’t subscribe to a “divisionist” worldview and prefer someone who thinks similarly.
  • I like intellectual content & conversations based on a Biblical worldview.
  • In terms of faith, I’ve mainly attended non-denominational churches with a Pentecostal leaning. So yes, speaking in tongues, casting out demons, celebration, loud music, etc.
  • As someone who’s seen God do great things in my life, I believe in abundance and generosity. I’ve trusted God to help me financially, and he’s blessed me to do the same for others. I’d desire a partner who wants to continue in this vein.

Personality

  • I am tidy and organized, but not a neat freak. One of my passions is bringing order to chaos. I like spreadsheets and to-do lists. It’s kinda my thing.
  • My friends call me witty and pensive, and notice that I have a strong sense of righteous indignation when it comes to injustice. I advocate for causes that support women and children who’ve been victimized by abuse.
  • I’m a GIGANTIC risk taker (of course, with prayerful consideration.) I look forward to sharing some crazy stories with my spouse about some of my shennaighans 😂.
  • I can be very disciplined in some seasons and extremely restful in others. This cycle works better for me and my productivity.
  • I believe WORDS matter, so I am careful with my speech and am diligent about speaking life and positivity over others.
  • I have a huge sweet tooth and enjoy a pastry with coffee or tea whenever possible.
  • My love languages are quality time, words of affirmation and gifts. I also like big hugs 🤗

Lifestyle

  • As the Bible prescribes, I believe intimacy is reserved for marriage.
  • I am physically active and like having fun and traveling. Activities I enjoy include running, strength training, salsa dancing, water sports, gun range, and I will try new things, too.
  • I’ve taken steps to be able to live and/or go anywhere in the world. Right now, I am in a nomadic “holding pattern”, but am willing to entertain settling down in most any region for my person.
  • I consume VERY FEW HEALTH SERVICES & PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS. I do not vaccinate, take flu shots, or go to routine preventive exams. I tend to avoid commercial medical intervention as much as possible. My goal is to never go to the doctor or hospital ever again in my life.

Preferences

  • I don’t drink or do drugs, and have a strong preference for someone who is the same.
  • I DON’T like to: party, gamble, go clubbing, watch vulgar movies or listen to vulgar music.
  • Most content I consume is faith-based or self-help-based because I believe in guarding my mind and heart for a successful life.
  • I enjoy cooking & eating good food, like lots of things from scratch with minimal ingredients that are fresh and local. I eat lots of meat but not pork, shellfish, reptiles, amphibians or exotic meats. Ribeyes are a fav!

Dating me

  • If you choose to engage with me and become unsure or pull back, due to time constraints, I will cut contact QUICKLY. I’m only interested in a man who is SURE about me and can engage in sustained effort. I hope you understand.
  • In the beginning, I will depend on you to show your interest and keep the pursuit up. This may mean double texting, initiating interactions, and not hearing from me until I hear from you. If I have given you my number, entertained calls and dates, I AM DEFINITELY INTERESTED, but I will look to you to lead our interactions in the beginning. I have reasons for this, and I’m happy to unpack them as we start getting to know each other.

Benefits of dating me/what I bring to the table

I don’t answer this because people value different things. So some traits or features I possess may be very attractive and valuable to one man, but not another. As a man, you will have to assess this.

Ideally, you’ve done the inner work and trust yourself enough to discern my character, intentions and the potential benefit I can bring to your life.

Hopefully, you will go into your prayer closet and get an answer from the LORD your GOD, then have fun proving it out as we get to know one another.
